Pat walked in to the party wearing his Halloween costume – all black, with two curved lines of paper taped on, parallel to the floor, one higher than the other.
“Hey, Pat, glad you could make it!” Debora said, her sexy ghost costume revealing everything Pat had hoped to see.
“Of course, I wouldn’t miss this,” Pat said, taking off his shoes.
“What is – ” Debora began, before Victor appeared at the top of the steps.
“Pat! Hey man,” Victor came walking down in his sexy news anchor costume and shook Pat’s hand. “So let me guess, you’re…sexy mime?”
“Nope, I’m – ” Pat started.
“Don’t tell me, it’s a game we play with everyone, come on up,” Victor hopped lightly up the stairs, and Debora and Pat followed.
Up in the living room, Pat was greeted by sexy pirates, sexy nurses, and that year’s biggest crazy, sexy typographers. He was placed in the middle of the room, and made to stand there while everyone appraised him. Finally, Victor called out, “Okay, everyone, let’s here the guesses!”
“Sexy black hole!” someone shouted.
“Sexy stage hand!”
“Sexy body hair!”
After the noise died down, Victor turned to Pat. “Well, which is it?”
“None of the above,” Pat said. “I’m not sexy anything. I am skepticism.”
The room deflated, everyone let down a little bit. The party died soon after, and everyone dispersed to other parties while Pat went home.
