Broccoli for Christmas

If penguins could fly, do you think they would live in Antarctica? I mean, it’s cold there. Cold as balls, as the kids are fond of saying. Though, really, balls tend to be whatever temperature around them. Room temperature, I guess, unless they’re outside. Basketballs might be warmer than baseballs, being larger they probably retain heat. Though maybe baseballs are more solid.

Anyway, if winter weren’t coming, the snow wouldn’t come, and if the snow didn’t come, then I wouldn’t have to shovel, and my back would be fine, and I wouldn’t have to go to the supermarket for broccoli again this week. I mean, I just went on Saturday, and now I need to go again on…what day is it today? Huh, would you look at that, it’s Saturday again. Well, guess I better get ready for the store.

Anyway, if I’m going out, I should probably get some gifts for the kids. They’re coming soon, it’s almost Christmas, and they should be here tomorrow or the next day. Or maybe the day after. Or maybe closer to Christmas Eve. I can’t remember what day. What day is it today? Saturday? Oh, dear, I need to go get the groceries. I think we needed some broccoli. Or was it cauliflower?

Anyway, if the kids are coming for Christmas, I should get their gifts pretty soon. Do we have anything for them already? I think we got them something. Broccoli, wasn’t it?

Anyway, I should get going. I’ll see you in a few hours, kiddo. Make sure you cook that broccoli we have in the fridge for your mother.
