On Loneliness

It’s an extraordinary thing about humanity. They’re so intertwined, so close, so much a part of each other. And yet, each of them, almost to a person, feels terribly alone. Some more than others, some for longer than others. But eventually, they all come to that moment where they feel like they are the only one in the universe, that no one else would care if they lived or died, and with no angel to show them, they are easily caught. They descend into a vortex of pain and disillusionment, where nothing matters but the sadness. If they’re not careful, it will eat them whole.
